Animal

If i were an animal, i would be a giraffe! obviously im not extremely tall, but i fell like i match their personality. Giraffe are usually calm and they just walk from tree to tree eating leaves, and im a pretty calm person too, but i don't eat leaves. Someone told me once that each giraffe has a unique pattern of spots that no other giraffe has. i feel like im a pretty unique person and no one is quite like me. thats the main reason i relate to a giraffe. plus, they're wayyy cool and its so awesome when they run. it looks like slow motion.

Winter Wonderland

SNOW!!!! i want it to snow. and i mean really snow. like a mini blizzard. I want to make a snowman and snow angels so that means it needs to snow alot. One of the only things i miss about living in kansas is the snow. Snows days are the best too. I remember last year we had a snow day and it didn't even snow but it was nice to have the day off. i hope we have a few snow days this year. snow snow snow snow lalalalala....

Relatable Character

When i was younger, i love to watch the show Lizzy Mcguire and Hillary Duff was my role model. I wanted to be just like her and i used to try to do my hair like she did in the show. Whenever i watch her movies from a couple of years ago, i feel like i can relate to her characters and the way she acts. I haven't seen her make any new movies or shows recently, but i think she has a perfume or something. I just watched that movie A Cinderella Story, only because there was absolutely nothing else was on t.v., and i was reminded that Hillary Duff was my childhood role model and it made me happy. She was always so relatable in her movies and shows, even though she may not have been the best actor. I have to admit though, that cinderella movie was pretty cute. :)

Songs for Life

I have a new favorrrrite song right now but it doesn't really describe my life but i feel like writing about it anyway. I absolutely love the song Bonfire by Third Eye Blind. Its from their new album and its amazing. hm i don't know how to describe it. you know when you just hear a song and immediately love it? well, thats what its like. The lyrics talk about things changing and getting what you wanted and if its worth it in the end. Ive always loved third eye blind and im glad that their new stuff isn't totally awful. i think im going to go listen to that song now. :)

Thanksgiving is A-Coming

My favorite thanksgiving food would have to be dessert. I don't really like the typical thanksgiving foods like turkey and yams, so i always look forward to dessert. i usually make a dessert to add to whatever my aunt brings. I don't have a huge family and its just my aunt, uncle and granda that come over to eat. Every year we listen to Frank Sinatra while my dad carves the turkey and its my absolute favorite part of thanksgiving. the last couple of years my dad hasn't played it because it started making my granda sad. I'm gonna ask my dad if we can listen to it this year because thanksgiving isn't the same without Frank. Other than that, we don't really have any traditions. We used to have more but things have changed. Hm i think ill start some new traditions this year :)

Thanks A Million

I am thankful for thanksgiving break! I am soooo looking forward to a week off. I need a break. if it wasn't for the break i don't think i would make it much longer. i feel exhausted and all i wanna do is sleep! anyways... thats all i can come up with right now. im actually thankful for a lot but i'm semi-brain dead right now.

Hm what should i write about today?? Well, im so tired. Our first show was last night and we have another show tonight today and tomorrow. I'm so excited!!!! This play has been so much. we have worked so hard and i've made so many good friends. I'm sad that its almost over, but ive decided not to think about it ending until it actually does. no need for sadness! be happay :D

Best Compliment

Last year in theater we did this activity called a compliment circle. It was about six people and we all sat in a circle and we had to say something nice about everyone. Everyone was being so sweet and nice. I remember a few people told me that i was a really good friend and they could trust me with their secrets and to always be there for them. it made me feel so good that im trustworthy. They also told me that they love how im always myself and they feel comfortable being themselves around me. those were the best compliments i have ever received. i never try to be someone im not and it felt really good to know my friends appreciated that. I always try to be a good friend to everyone and its nice to know that my efforts are not wasted. :) aww this journal makes me happy.

Answers To My Questions

If i could have the answer to any question, my question would be why are people stupid? and rude? and ignorant? Why can't people be respectful of others? i'm dying to know the answer. I just don't understand why it is so hard for some people to learn manners. I also would like to know why people lie. But i can only choose one, so please tell me, is respect such a complicated manner to learn that people just don't even bother? i'd like to know. Ok, enough ranting. I'm finished.

Make Up Blog

No, this blog is not about make-up. Im making it up because i was absent! i was absent because we were doing our Macbeth performances, you know, the play where i was a snake. It was a lot of fun but i had a ton of make up work. Anyway, the play was really fun and i heard a lot of good feedback from people who saw it. The only bad part was i had to cover my face in green makeup and it made my face break out :( boohoo. But its okay! Everying thing is going to be juuust fine. :)

Gifts for Me

if i could receive any gift at all, it would be a really nice car. I should probably say something that would benefit a lot of people or show what a good person i am, but i feel like being selfish today. I wish i could have a nice car, like a corvette or the new camaro. that would be awesome! any car nicer than my ford lame-rocket would be a dream come true. i should complain about my car, at least i have one. but hey, if anyone feels like buying me a new car, that'd be super.

Singing Heart

Hm what makes my heart sing? i don't really know. My heart is happy when people around are happy. Happiness loves its company. I think the saying is misery loves its company, which is true, but misery makes my heart sad. Happines makes my heart sing a beautiful melody. if you could hear my heart singing, it would make your heart sing too.

Mean What You Say, Say What You Mean

It is important to mean what you say so that people know they can trust you. If you constantly go back on your word or tell people to disregard what you just said, no one will pay attention to you. Its important to stay true to what you mean and express your true feelings through what you say.

Forever Young

I think it is important to stay young at heart. Even as you grow older, you can have a young attitude to keep your spirits high and have a careless attitude. You can't focus on stressful grown up issues. sometimes you have to let go and and be carefree. Stay forever young.

Oooh Your My Best Friend

What makes a true friend you ask? well, definitely someone who cares about and your friendship. Your best friend should be there for you whenever you need them. They should also have your best interest at heart. A truly good friend is honest with you and doesn't judge or think they can fix you. A best friend should want to be around to hang and talk about anything at all. Im lucky to have a couple of friends like that, 2 of whom are sitting next to me right now. :)

Trying New Things

One thing that i want to do sometime in my life is to swim with sharks. I have always wanted to swim with little sharks, not the huge killer ones. Sharks are so interesting and i plan to do it sometime before i die, even if that means ill be really old by the time I get around to do it. Another thing ive always wanted to do is to play the drums. I reeeeeeelly want to learn how to play the drums but sadly, i have yet to learn. The best thing would be if i could be a drummer for a speed metal band. :P yes! it would be the most awesome thing ever.

Success

To be successful means to accomplish all of your goals. When you meet all of your goals that you set for yourself, you are successful. You can be successful at anything you accomplish. This is the worst journal ive ever written, but i just don't know what else to say.

Another Free Write!

Ahhh im so excited! today has been pretty good so far, but theater was especially good. My class is going to be doing a scene from Macbeth and most of us will be playing witches, but were all going to be animals!! Its going to be spooky with a smoke machine and low lighting and all the characters will wear black with the faces painted like the animal. Im going to be a snake and im so excited! i really wanted to be a giraffe but they aren't very spooky, but snakes are way cool. Can you tell how excited i am??? :D

Expiring Dreams

"Dreams don't have expiration dates."

I really like this quote. its inspirational because it says that dreams don't give up you, so don't give up on your dreams. They don't expire, which means that there isn't a deadline to accomplish it, as long as you reach your goal. i feel so inspired right now, listening to Taylor Swift and writing about dreams. Today's going to be a good day.

Fall Back

Its time for fall! i love the cooler weather and the evenings during autumn. Its not too cold and its boiling hot. all you need is a light jacket. :) Another good thing about fall is getting a new jacket. I love all the cute sweaters and long sleeved shirts. Now that its cooler i can drive with my windows down and i won't melt. The change in the weather is nice, but i wish we could skip the winter and go straight to spring. If the weather would stay just like this it would be just right.

Free Write!

The only thing i can think to write about is that im kind of stressing out. My wingspan story still isn't finished and i have to finish it now! so yeah, im a little worried. Im sure i'll pull it off. somehow.

All expenses paid? Yesssss!

If i could take three friends on an all expense paid vacation, I would take Mallory, Elizabeth and Morgan, me three best friends. I would take them on a cruise to the carribean! We would swim with dolphins and sharks and do touristy stuff. Even though tourists usual are not loved by the locals, but thats ok because tourists always get to do the fun things. We would spend lots of time at the beach and all the fun things on the cruise. ....Dang this is only a journal. I was getting all excited planning my vacation. Who knows maybe one day ill go on a super fun cruise with all my besties. :)

"There should be a law against..."

I think there should a law against tractors driving in the street. Those big construction trucks shouldn't be allowed to drive in the street either. They drive so slow!!! whenever im in a hurry to get somewhere i end up being stuck behind an extremely slow moving vehicle. it is very annoying.

Dear Dad,
i just wanted to say thank you for everything you've done for me. i know i can be difficult to deal with sometimes and i make you mad, but that's not what this letter is about. Im writing to say thanks for all the times you were there when i needed someone to talk to and mom didn't feel like listen. And for all the advice you've given me. You probably don't realize that really listen to what you say and i take it to heart. You are an inspiration to me because you always do everything that you can when someone needs your help, and a lot of people need your help. The last things i want to say thank you for are all the times you sent me flowers. they made me smile. :) Also for making chicken for dinner yesterday knowing that i wouldn't eat lasagna. I really appreciate when you make me dinner even though i never really say thank you. i owe you a lot more thank you's than i wrote in this letter.

Time Machine

If i could magically go back in time and cover any event in history, i think i would cover the space race. newspaper coverage of that was really important all over the world, and especially in the U.S. The space race was a major part in the cold war and it would be exciting to cover all the exciting things that happened back then. i think im done writing. Ms. merrill is singing the little mermaid song and now im distracted.

Free Write

This is our first free write! I am going to write about whats on my mind. This class comes right after my theater class so i always am really excited. i had to pick out monologues today and i got one from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof but ive never read that play. I might read it now. maybe not. Nothing else was very exciting in theater today. Our first issue of the potty press comes out today. When i was telling people about it they said it wasn't a good idea. I think it is and i can't wait to see them on the back of the bathroom doors. it should be pretty cool.

Where Would I Rather Live?

If i had to choose if to live somewhere really hot or really cold forever, i would choose a really hot place. If the temperature is ridiculously hot during the day, at least the temperature will be relatively cooler at night. if i lived in a really cold place i would have no escape from the freezing weather, other than piling on jackets and blankets. a hotter environment would be much favorable.

My Very First Post!

This year i look forward to a lot of things. im really excited to write for the newspaper and i hope its really fun. Im sure it will be, ms. merrill's class is always fun. im also looking forward to theater this year. we have a new director and she is nice and very talented. im excited to see how this year goes!
